Sparrow Deviyani Brulotte

Sparrow Deviyani Brulotte's music awakens us with an open heart.

In gratitude I remember, laugh, and embrace this wholeness of life.

Offering eclectic, intuitive, heartfelt music that fuses different styles and languages, and blends harmonies and dulcet tones. I enjoy drawing on music from diverse styles: from classical art songs, to celtic ballads, to 80s cover tunes. I write and perform conscious folk fusion music and offer other performances in the form of kirtan, intuitive singing, sound circles, mantra, and sound healing. As an accredited Music Therapist, Sound Healer, and Registered Yoga Instructor, I am constantly inspired by work with all kinds of people, young and young at heart.

During travels to India I was fortunate to study kirtan with teachers in Rishikesh, Varanasi and Dharamsala. I learned different forms and traditions and performed songs and kirtan while traveling with shaman Herbert Quintineros and sound healer Robert Coulson and others on the road. I have played and sung across Western Canada, most recently in Edmonton as part of 'Hearts Afire' with Isabelle Stahl and now in Vancouver with Lyle Povah. I have performed kirtan with Wade Morissette and collaborated with Chinmaya Dunster on my most recent mantra CD project. SOUNDevotion has just been released!

I am honoured and humbled to offer the grace of the healing properties of vibration and resonance. The gifts of music, chanting, singing and dancing are the bridges to move us to other levels of being. Music opens our hearts to see and live the changes in this world.

Tanya Di Valentino

Tanya Di Valentinotanya4

Deeply inspired by her love of nature and the interconnected web of life, Tanya attained a Bachelors Degree in Geography and studied philosophy extensively within her program.  Currently, she is the INFORM Whistler Gym and Yoga Studio Manager.

With empathy as her first guru, Tanya opened her eyes and heart to a lifestyle guided by the ancient wisdom of yoga - the path of self -realization and oneness with this universe and all be-ings.  She began her yoga teacher training in Mexico with a 200-hour certification program at Yandara Yoga Institute founded and taught by Craig and Shane Perkins.  She has since returned to Yandara to participate as a teacher training assistant.  She continued with advanced studies, completing the 500-hour certification program at Anand Prakash Yogashram in Rishikesh, India with The World Conscious Yoga Family, founded and taught by Yogi Vishvketu and Chetana Panwar.  She became certified to teach Akhanda Yoga, a traditional and holistic style created by Yogi Vishvketu, that includes practices such as Hatha-Raja and Classical Kundalini.  It was in India that she entered the healing practice of Reiki with known Rishikesh Reiki Master Shanti ji.  Her love and interest in Ashtanga Yoga flourished and she traveled to San Francisco and completed David Swenson's Ashtanga Primary Series teacher training.  Finding inspiration in diversity, Tanya then travelled to the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in the Bahamas where she lived in the ashram to learn the traditional hatha yoga practice as taught by Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnu-Devananda.  During her stay, Tanya also trained in Yoga for Athletes with Dr Don Oyao and Thai Yoga Massage by the founder of the Lotus Palm technique, Kam Thye Chow.

Within her travels and yoga studies, she has met people from diverse backgrounds from all over the world and has come to realize the common thread that weaves through each person is a deep longing for lasting happiness, peace and love. It is Tanya's intention with the many paths of yoga to inspire others to experience for themselves, that happiness, peace and love has never left them and has been ever present as the essence of their own being.

Upon completing her teacher training Shivani then designed Pura Luna, which started as a Yoga Teaching company and has rapidly expanded into Yogic Lifestyle Coaching and our Divine Art Company.  Living in Vancouver, Canada she teaches clients how to unfold their inner wisdom, through yogic and ayurvedic principles, and implement these principles into everyday modern life.  A life that promotes holistic health and harmony with the Universe.

Saskia Tait

saskia2aSaskia started her journey into yoga when she was 14 years old, following a family trip to the Himalayan states of northern India. Following an undeniable intuition that she had much to learn from India, she journeyed there many times to live, travel, study and volunteer. An always-deepening love and appreciation of India propelled her to focus her undergraduate and graduate studies on the region -- its religious and cultural forms and history, its social and ecological development challenges, and especially its ancient wisdom traditions. Following an intensive period of study with a siddha from the Nath lineage, Saskia started a daily personal practice of yoga and has cherished her transformative relationship with the path of yoga ever since. One of the most important gifts Saskia has benefited from in her relationship with India is a deep fascination with integrated approaches to living and change. Inspired by the holistic view embedded in all traditions of yoga, Saskia has sought ways to bridge the gap between the felt need for healthy and sustainable transformation in larger social structures with pathways of deep personal integration. Currently, this exploration is taking concrete shape in the form of a gap year program and school she is founding together with her husband, Shahar Rabi, and a small team of inspired educators and social change agents in Nova Scotia, Canada (www.newearthinstitute.ca). How can "coming home to yourself" shift the way that you choose to act, live, work and play in the world? Saskia has a Master’s degree in International Development and a B.A. (Honours) in International Development and South Asian Religion. She is a published author, applying integral models to a variety of topics including sustainable development, community development, ecology, consciousness studies and global issues. Saskia has lived and worked as a consultant for community-based and international development agencies in Canada, the US, the Netherlands, Bhutan and India. She has helped to teach the history and philosophy sections of World Conscious Yoga Family’s 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training courses in India.
